Mirepoix Pictured here during the Apple Festival in October this very pretty Medieval village is certainly worth the one hour drive from the house.

Lagrasse This is proudly boasted by the French to be one of the most beautiful villages in France. Forty minutes drive from the house it is built around an historic monastery and well worth a visit.

Mount Alaric Situated directly behind the house, producing what we think is some of the area’s best wine, an ideal area for walking and cycling with listed walks.

Narbonne Plage / Cathedral One of the many golden beaches on the Cote Vermillion - Forty minutes from the house. Drive along the coast for empty stretches of golden sands or spot flamingos in the lagoons by the coast.

Lesignan Market Just five minutes drive from the house, the market is on Wednesday Mornings.

Sigean Wildlife Park Open 365 days a year. One hour’s drive from the house.
Capendu An ideal touring base for your holiday in France. Set in the Corbieres Valley between Narbonne and Carcassonne.

Canal Du Midi This World Heritage Site , also called the Canal Des Deux Mers (two seas), runs right through the valley. the Village of Homps, just 10 Km away houses a large marina, from which you can rent a boat if you wish. (Also possible from Trebes, just 5 Km). Or try horse riding along the towpaths.

Minerve Perched high upon a rock, only accessible by the bridge this is a stunning village set amidst very dramatic scenery. About 20 minutes drive from the house.
